Seminars: A Group Dialogue

All seminars developed by WELLth Learning Network are delivered in 1 or 2-day formats. They are customized for each client and use one or more inquiry approaches like:

  • appreciative inquiry
  • developmental inquiry
  • resolution inquiry
  • significance inquiry

Approach

The attendees gathered for the seminar are facilitated through a group dialogue process.  Guidelines of why, what and how are sent before the seminar to help attendees prepare. Attendees are asked at the start of the seminar for agreement in following the dialogue process. Additional process explanations are given afterwards depending on the inquiry approach to be used. While involved, attendees are encouraged to reflect and question the applicability of the seminar topic within the organization. They are valuing the perspective and actions they will follow upon their return to the workplace.

Throughout the entire dialogue, attendees are reminded of the MAP acronym:

Map to agree,
Agree to plan,
Plan for ___ing.
