Organization Mapping

The Organization Map is Not 'the Organization'…

It is a representation of 'the Organization'!

Before pushing off from shore on any trip, it is best to have a map for the journey.

In fact, it's best to have the correct map for the journey.

WELLth Educators are skilled at developing organization maps to highlight relevant entrepreneurial excellence, people navigation and organizational culture learning and actions.

Organization Maps and Mapping

Organization Maps vary according to the level of organization clients ask to be mapped.

Each organization map is unique.

Each map is drawn and shared with the key contact person/group for which the map applies.

  • Each map involves 'visual language' – the use of commonly acceptable words, shapes and symbols.
  • Whenever appropriate – the map presentation outlines a 'journey story' – a proposed time and effort sequence from which communication is shared to engage those involved.
  • Maps are 'organic' – they are updated and shift in presentation as required.
  • A series of maps form a story board for organization memory.
  • To be clear – in using the term 'organization' – we are referring to the 'act of organizing'.

Examples of Organization Maps

Maps are presented to the client to summarize meeting decisions, outline a suggested program pathway for a meeting and/or as an action reminder. Most maps are hand drawn, There are examples below.
